Associate Attorney

We are searching for a highly motivated associate attorney in our Family Law group. Candidates for this position must have a minimum of 1 + years of relevant Family Law litigation and experience. Ideal candidate must be personable self- starter ready to jump into cases. should be up to date on education while being detailed-oriented, competent, professional, and hard-working. The right candidate should possess strong research and writing skills and the ability to handle high conflict cases. We offer a very competitive compensation and benefits package. The associate attorney will be responsible for all aspects of a client’s case (with supervision) including communicating with clients and other counsel, drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, preparing for and attending court hearings etc.

Expertise in legal drafting a must, as is courtroom experience as second chair

Requirements

  • Substantive knowledge concerning the statutes, regulations and rules affecting Family Law
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities both in the court/hearing rooms and in internal meetings, including strong written and verbal skills and the ability to effectively explain complex legal issues to non-lawyers.

Education and Experience

  • J.D. Degree and admission to practice law in the state of California is required.
  • Active membership of the bar in good standing in California
  • 1+ years of Family Law w/ Finance background experience required.

Estate Planning Legal Assistant

Lonich Patton Ehrlich Policastri, PC is looking for an Estate Plan Administrative assistant to perform a wide variety of complex administrative duties to assist and support the activities fin the estate plan department

About the Job 
Duties include: Heavy calendaring and other related work as required to enhances attorney effectiveness by developing case information. The candidate must be a team player and exhibit strong organization skills and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks with close attention to detail, accuracy and timeliness.

Requirements
• Must be well organized and very detail-oriented to ensure excellent judgment and make important decisions within the scope of their duties on a daily basis.

Calendar Clerk

Lonich Patton Ehrlich Policastri, PC is looking for a part time calendar clerk to ensure all deadlines are accurately and timely entered according to firm policy. During slow times, this position will back up the other legal secretaries in the office with overflow projects, as time permits.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Position requires an organized detail oriented individual with emphasis on accuracy

• Excellent judgment and discretion

• Fast learner

• Strong time management skills and ability to coordinate multiple tasks concurrently

• Follow through to ensure completion of tasks

• Strong organizational skills, interpersonal skills and an ability to multi-task

• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook Calendar and Abacus a plus

• Ability to work and think independently

• Prior law firm and calendaring software experience preferred but not required

• Knowledge of legal formats, procedures and terminology is a plus

• Graduation from high school or GED; some college or business school is a plus

Starting salary is comparable to going rates and will depend on experience.
