Lonich Patton Ehrlich Policastri, PC (“LPEP”) is writing to notify you of a data security incident that may have involved your personal information. We are providing this notice in accordance with California Civil Code §1798.82.
What Happened
On November 16, 2025, we discovered unauthorized access to certain firm systems containing client information. We immediately secured the systems and initiated an investigation with third-party cybersecurity specialists. It was determined that an unauthorized party may have accessed or acquired certain personal information between November 15–16, 2025.
What Information Was Involved
The information involved may include personal client-related information such as:
- Client names and contact information
- Case files including, but not limited to, written communications, financial information, notes, court filings and expert reports
- Social Security number
- Driver’s license or state identification number
We currently have no evidence of misuse but are notifying you in an abundance of caution and in compliance with California law.
What We Are Doing
We have:
- Secured the systems involved in the incident
- Engaged independent cybersecurity experts for analysis and remediation
- Enhanced security measures firm-wide
- Notified law enforcement where appropriate
Because Social Security or state ID numbers were involved, LPEP is offering 12 months of complimentary identity-theft protection and credit-monitoring services at no cost to you. Instructions are attached to this email in PDF form.
What You Can Do
We encourage you to take the following steps:
- Enroll in the complimentary monitoring service
- Monitor your financial accounts for unusual activity
- Obtain and review your credit reports
- Consider placing a fraud alert or credit freeze
