March 2022 LPEP Spotlight: Christina Duarte

Christina Duarte is a family law paralegal at Lonich Patton Ehrlich Policastri.

What do you like about family law?

A: I love being able to help families in need and help individuals through what is often one of the most challenging times in their lives. I appreciate being able to assist families in navigating custody, visitation, finances, and provide the emotional support that is often needed to get through this period as well. Family Law is a field that, at the end of the day, you go to bed knowing that you have helped a single mother, a single father, or children in a difficult situation and there is nothing more humbling and fulfilling to me.

What strengths do you bring to the game?

A: I am your right-hand (wo)man! I have a wide range of knowledge and experience with discovery, support, custody and visitation, experience working for and with minor’s counsel, and provide support to the associates and partners with anything they need in almost all capacities. I have a passion for our clients and this field, and will always lend a supportive, listening ear to those clients that need someone to recognize the emotional needs involved in navigating their case in addition to the practical needs.

Something about you?

A: I have 17 month-old twins that have taken over our home and our life and our hearts! When I’m not working, you can find me enjoying the park with my family or strolling West Cliff in Santa Cruz.
