June LPEP Spotlight: Virginia Lively

Virginia Lively is an associate attorney at LPEP. She focuses her practice on all aspects of Family Law. Virginia has been a member of the California Bar since 2012 and is a Certified Family Law Specialist.

What sets you apart from other family law attorneys?

I bring an in-depth understanding of complex compensation packages, business organizations, and taxation as a graduate from one of the premier legal masters programs in the country.  As a Certified Family Law Specialist, I combine this background with nine years of trial and mediation experience.  This combination allows me to help my clients achieve their best financial outcome.

Why did you choose to practice in family law?

For me, being a lawyer is about helping people when they need it most, allowing them to navigate what can be a complex and scary legal process.  Divorce and custody battles make the future feel uncertain for many. My passion is to help people understand this process, take the fear out of it, and shoulder some of that uncertainty for them.

When you’re not in the courtroom, how are you spending your time?

As a local, I love spending my free time at the many beaches over the hill, enjoying all the myriad cultures the Bay has to offer and pursuing my lifelong passion of painting. In addition, I dedicate a portion of my time to working with the Women’s Networking Alliance, an organization designed for businesswomen to support and elevate each other.
