November LPEP Spotlight: Tara Koehn

What do you like about practicing family law?

A: Family Law comes with substantial client contact, whether via email, telephone, and, while not as much recently, in-person.  No matter how the contact is made, it is imperative that the client feels that they are being taken care of and their needs are being met.  I enjoy being able to assist clients in this way while they navigate through a difficult time in their lives.

What strengths do you bring to the game?

A: I am a good listener who is also adept at taking care of people.  While I cannot offer Family Law clients legal advice, I am someone who will listen when clients feel overwhelmed with all the legalese and, at times, act as a liaison between them and their attorney.

Something about you?

A: I have been working in Family Law for 20 years with 15 of those years at LPEP.  I was born and raised in Illinois and moved to California 25 years ago.  My husband and I have two children, a dog, and live in San Jose.
