Michael E. Lonich

Michael E. Lonich is the managing partner of Lonich Patton Ehrlich Policastri and has over 35 years of experience representing a wide range of businesses and individuals. His practice concentrates on Estate Planning, and Divorce. In Estate Planning, Mike draws upon his expertise and the firm's resources to partner with individuals and families to develop comprehensive estate plans and successfully represent clients in trust administration and probate litigation. From the creation of a simple will to a complex trust, family limited liability partnership or business succession plan, maximizing financial benefits as well as ensuring the peace of mind that an estate plan brings to an individual or family is always Mike's goal. Whether a client needs revisions to current documents (will, trust, power of attorney, health care directive POD accounts, etc) or has no plan in place, Mike is prepared to help clients create a comprehensive estate plan that suits their needs and concerns.

The firm's Family Law practice utilizes Mike's litigation expertise to represent parties in contested divorce proceedings or mediate divorces and complex family issues. After serving many years as an advocate in litigation matters, he enjoys the collaborative effort to resolve cases involving divorce, child support, child custody, spousal support and property rights as a mediator. The secret in any area of family law mediation is the ability of the participants to come together and work toward a solution in a collaborative and positive environment. Mike knows all too well the financial and emotional costs of "taking it to court" and is able to offer a far less expensive alternative - mediation. Whether represented by an attorney or not, parties are welcome to explore this alternative; a collaborative and results-oriented approach to resolve family law matters in a fraction of the time and cost of traditional advocate-based litigation. With that said, Mike recognizes that not all cases are suitable for mediation. In such cases, Mike and the Family Law group at Lonich Patton Ehrlich Policastri can assist you with your Family Law needs.
