About Kaitlyn Fontaine

Kaitlyn Fontaine graduated from the University of Nevada Reno in 2016, majoring in History with a minor in Business Administration.  While in college, Kaitlyn was a member of Alpha Omicron Pi and served as the Vice President of Philanthropy for her chapter.

After graduation, Kaitlyn moved to Changsha, China where she received her TEFL certification and taught English as a middle school teacher.  In 2017, Kaitlyn joined the Peace Corps and served as an English Language Specialist on the island of Nomuka, Tonga.  At the end of 2019, Kaitlyn returned to the United States, gained her CA teaching credential, and worked as a middle school math teacher and a freelance journalist until beginning law school in 2020.

Kaitlyn received her Juris Doctor from Santa Clara University, School of Law in 2023.  While a student at Santa Clara, Kaitlyn was involved with Social Justice Coalition, serving as secretary, and Women and Law, serving as Vice President and Co-Vice President.  As a board member of these two organizations, Kaitlyn gained experience with organizing events, managing budgets, and community outreach.  During her first year of law school, Kaitlyn volunteered for a Spring Break Border Service Trip.  During this trip she assisted attorneys at the Florence Immigration and Refugee Rights Project with ongoing immigration cases.  Following her first year of law school, Kaityn interned for multiple judges at the Family Law Court of Santa Clara County. During her second year of law school, Kaitlyn worked as a law clerk at a local immigration and family law firm.

In 2022 Kaitlyn joined Lonich Patton Ehrlich Policastri as a law clerk.  Upon passing the California State Bar in 2023 she became an associate attorney.  While working at LPEP Kaitlyn has gained experience with helping clients navigate the complexities of a dissolution including high asset property division, business valuations, child custody and visitation, and spousal and child support.

Kaitlyn is a native of Northern California, and if not at work she can be found reading a book, kickboxing, hiking, or cooking.
