About Leah R. Klassen

Leah graduated from Michigan State University in 2021, double majoring in Political Theory & Constitutional Democracy and Social Relations and Policy with a minor in history. In 2019, Leah spent time in Italy studying comparative republicanism. Leah served on the board of Zeta Tau Alpha and Kappa Alpha Pi Pre Law Fraternity and was a member of Order of Omega Leadership Honor Society. During her senior year, Leah held an internship where she cycled through various public agencies and studied the impact of the Covid-19 on Child Protective Services and Adult Protective Services and those relying on their services.

Leah received her Juris Doctor from Santa Clara University School of Law in 2024. During her time as a law student, Leah served as the President of the Family Law Society and the Social Justice Coalition. She also served as the Benefit Chair of Women and Law and organized a Benefit for Breast Cancer every spring and successfully raised thousands of dollars for those fighting breast cancer. Leah also worked as a research assistant for Dean Michael Kaufman and provided legal research, writing, analysis, and editorial work for the new edition of Depositions: Law, Strategy, and Technique (West 2022-2023).

In 2022, Leah began working for Lonich Patton Ehrlich Policastri as a law clerk and became an associate attorney upon passing the California Bar exam in 2024. Leah is a passionate advocate and approaches each of her clients with patience and empathy. During her time at the firm, Leah has gained experience with helping clients navigate the dissolution process and the areas of child custody, child and spousal support, and domestic violence.

Leah is from Traverse City, Michigan and moved to the bay area in 2021 to pursue law school and her legal career. When she is not at work, she enjoys volunteering in the community with Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, traveling to Michigan to spend time with her family, and snowboarding.
