About Wendie R. Beddingfield

Wendie R. Beddingfield joined Lonich Patton Ehrlich Policastri as an associate in 2024, with an exclusive focus on family law.  She is an empathetic listener, proactive problem-solver, and persuasive communicator–giving voice to her clients in their most difficult times.

Although a native Texan, Wendie discovered her calling for family law after her family of six moved to California in 2013.  It was her experience as a women’s ministry coordinator at her local church, working with women who found themselves lost in the maze of the family courts, that drew her to help others through representation.  She completed her bachelor’s degree in political science with distinction at UC Berkeley in 2020 and then a J.D. at Santa Clara University School of Law, cum laude, in 2023.

While in law school, Wendie earned her place on the Dean’s List each year, received the Dean’s Outstanding Student Leadership Award, membership in the Order of the Coif, the Witkin Award in Constitutional Law, and the CALI Award in Legal Analysis, Research, and Writing.  She was a co-president of the Federalist Society and a board member of the Family Law Society.  She gained broad experience in family law while in law school and immediately thereafter as a judicial intern with the Honorable James E. Towery, Ret. in Santa Clara County, a bar-certified student attorney with All for the Family Legal Clinic in Castro Valley, and as a post-bar clerk to the family law bench in San Mateo County.  She also volunteered her time in family law and domestic violence clinics through Elevate Community Center and the family law day of court with Legal Access Alameda.

In her spare time, Wendie enjoys exploring different areas around California and the U.S., hiking, coffee with friends, succulent gardening, and jigsaw puzzles.  She also loves spending time with her husband, Gabriel, and her adult children.
